Phase 1: 1-to-3. Phase 1 content. In half terms and holidays, we offer intensive courses in preparation for English Literature GCSE/IGCSE, with a focus on improving and maximising a student’s grade. English Literature will focus on how to approach and analyse prose, poetry, drama and unseen texts for English Literature GCSE/IGCSE. This course will be suitable for students taking any GCSE or IGCSE examination board and will be tailored as much as possible to the individual needs and examination texts of the student. Session 1:English Literature - Prose Lesson Objective: To learn how to approach, write about and analyse modern and 18/19th century prose. Homework: Essay plan / analytical paragraphs for prose essay Session 2: English Literature - Poetry Lesson Objective: To learn how to approach, write about and analyse modern and 18th/19th century poetry.
