Phase 2 content 1 teacher-to-3 students Introduction This course focuses on maths enrichment via the Junior Maths Challenges. School curricula are generally not set up to help the most advanced students which means that they are unlikely to be reaching their potential in a normal school setting. The maths challenges ask difficult questions using concepts which the students already know or can easily learn. This discipline is called problem solving and is exceptionally useful in helping develop a strong ability in maths and ability to apply it later in life to great effect. Participants will enjoy seeing their ability increase and the course will leave them better placed to achieve well in exams, compete in maths competitions and have a greater chance of being accepted into selective schools and competitive university courses.
