Service Description
Phase 2 content Group Lesson: 1 teacher-to-3 students Target Audience: Ages 11–13 (UK Years 7–8) Elevate Your Mathematical Thinking The Junior Maths Challenge, organized by the UKMT, is the gold standard for young mathematicians in the UK. At this age, the gap between standard schoolwork and top-tier mathematical ability begins to widen. This course bridges that gap, ensuring that advanced students reach their full potential rather than coasting through a standard curriculum. It is an essential foundation for those aiming for top sets and future Olympiad success. Curriculum Focus The JMC demands a higher level of rigor. Our course focuses on the core pillars of the UKMT syllabus: Number Theory: Divisibility, primes, and mental arithmetic tricks. Algebraic Logic: Solving for unknowns through deductive reasoning. Spatial Visualization: Advanced geometry and 3D shapes. Combinatorics: Counting and probability puzzles. The "Student-Led" Approach We believe that true mathematical enrichment cannot be "lectured"—it must be experienced. Our sessions are built around the work students have already attempted. By analyzing their existing logic and building upon it, we ensure the concepts stick. Critical Thinking: Students learn to evaluate multiple paths to a solution to find the most efficient one. Competitive Edge: Better positioning for prestigious secondary schools and university applications later in life. Independence: Students walk away with the ability to self-correct and tackle unfamiliar territory with confidence. Lesson 1: Paper 2016 Lesson 2: Paper 2015 Lesson 3: Paper 2014 Lesson 4: Paper 2013 Lesson 5: Paper 2012
