Shozab
Economics & Maths
After completing his A-levels in Maths, Economics and Government and Politics in 2007, Shozab began his BSc in Mathematics with Economics at University College London (UCL). He completed his degree with a Second Class Honours in 2010. Since then he has taught at leading independent schools in London - namely St Paul's and The Mount, Mill Hill International. As a teacher of Mathematics, he gained plenty of teaching techniques used to help his students thoroughly understand the content and in turn improve their grades. He is also a Specialist Marker at Edexcel covering the iGCSE Mathematics series. This experience has helped him identify what tools are needed to help students succeed in their examinations and how to achieve in the higher grade boundaries.
Shozab's main interest in tutoring comes principally from his curiosity in working with pupils on a one-to-one basis to liberate their cognitive potential as well as his general love of disseminating information and knowledge to others. Shozab believes that there is no standardised model for teaching. Every student learns in his or her own way and he hopes to foster creative and inspired methods to engage each individual student.
His tutoring experience ranges from prep school to undergraduate level – he has helped students gain entry and scholarships at 13+ and 16+ to the most sought after English schools including Westminster, Eton and Winchester. In addition, he has worked extensively with sixth form students at A-level and IB in London, Italy, Switzerland and Monaco to help them attain their potential as well as assisting them with UCAS applications. Furthermore, Shozab assists university students in the mathematical components of their course, often for Economics and Mathematics B.Sc. degrees. Shozab has assisted students with a variety of topics including modules such as Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Political Analysis, Accounting and Maths for Business.
