Education background highlights

BSc Hons Politics & International Relations, University of Bristol, 1st Class Honours; MFA in Professional Acting from London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art (LAMDA). CPD certificate teaching public speaking, communication skills, and LAMDA Examinations.


Brief self-introduction

I teach 7+ and 11+ English, Maths and Reasoning; I also teach 13+, GCSE & A Level English Language and Literature and A Level Politics. I also help with any assistance needed for speaking and listening exams, or those who wish to improve their communication skills.


Tutor's skills

I like students to think about their learning and subject matter in a creative way. I specialise in how to improve essay and creative writing skills. I encourage discussion, and show how we can translate independent, original thought into structured, well-rounded, and compelling answers. I also focus on exam technique, especially when it comes to Reasoning and Maths.


Teaching style

I aim to create a relaxed, informal and, most importantly, fun learning environment. For a student to grow academically, confidence in their own capabilities is vital. If you provide a student a platform to become assured in their talents, interests and goals, accompanied with hard work, they can thrive academically, as well as find enjoyment in learning. It is easy to feel lost, confused, or even held back whilst at school. Therefore, as a tutor, I firmly believe in listening to the student’s needs, and building personalised lesson plans according to what they may be struggling with. Therefore, flexibility is key. I encourage my students to be engaged, hard working, and creative in their approach - particularly when confronted with challenging essay questions or complex ideas.
