Education background: Magdalene College School, Oxford. First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University, Prague
I am a UK registered and licensed doctor, and privately educated in Oxford. During medical school I was fortunate to teach a lot in anatomy and mentor students as they stated the General Medicine programme, during which I also tutored GCSE chemistry and biology in my free time.
Tutoring skills: I like to introduce difficult concepts in easy to understand ways and then build further knowledge in top of a solid foundation. Also making the lessons enjoyable to make sure the student is learning and also enjoying the subject hopefully fostering a genuine love for the sciences. I also understand that exam technique is very important and doing past papers is a very useful tool to have.
Teaching style: I like to build a healthy camaraderie with my students to ensure that they feel like they can come to me with any and all problems or questions, no matter how easy or difficult. I like to ensure a lot of participation when I teach while also ensuring they understand it is us against the problem and not just them. I prefer to start with the basics and build upon that knowledge as this means the student will have a genuine understanding of the subject/ topic.
