ISEB Pre-Test Preparation Course: Mathematics & Non-Verbal Reasoning Phase 1 The ISEB Pre-Test Preparation Course equips students with the skills needed to excel in the Mathematics and Non-Verbal Reasoning sections of the ISEB Common Pre-Test, an entrance exam for top UK schools like Eton, Harrow, Winchester, Rugby, Radley, and Wellington. This 20-lesson face-to-face course (max 4 students per group) ensures personalised instruction and targeted support. The course is divided into two phases: Phase 1 (Lessons 1-10): Core concepts, problem-solving, and skill-building Phase 2 (Lessons 11-20): Advanced techniques, timed practice, and mock tests Students will master numerical and spatial reasoning skills and gain confidence in handling the adaptive test format through structured guidance and exam-focused practice. Phase 1: Foundation & Core Skills (Lessons 1-10) Introduction to the ISEB Pre-Test & Adaptive Testing Understand the test structure and key strategies for success. Mathematics: Number Operations & Word Problems Master number operations, fractions, decimals, and percentages. Non-Verbal Reasoning: Shape Patterns & Sequences Identify missing shapes and complete logical sequences. Mathematics: Algebra & Equations Simplify expressions, solve equations, and apply algebra to problem-solving. Non-Verbal Reasoning: Analogies & Spatial Awareness Recognize shape relationships and improve spatial visualization. Mathematics: Fractions, Decimals & Percentages Convert between forms and apply to ratio and proportion problems. Non-Verbal Reasoning: 3D Shapes & Rotations Mentally rotate and manipulate 3D objects in 2D representations. Mathematics: Word Problems & Multi-Step Calculations Solve complex multi-step word problems efficiently. Non-Verbal Reasoning: Code Breaking & Logical Sequences Decode letter-number patterns and logical sequences. Mini Mock Test & Feedback Complete a half-length ISEB Pre-Test and receive detailed feedback. Additional Support & Resources Homework assignments to reinforce learning. personalised feedback to track progress. Time management strategies for the adaptive test.
